Join us for part 2 of our hip workshop!
In part 1 we focused on standing work. This workshop will predominantly focus on floor work.
Tight hips might be a result of a desk job where you are seated all day. Over time, you can develop tight hip flexors which have a ripple effect in combination with tight hamstrings, which can result in a pelvic tilt and result in back pain, knee pain and foot pain, causing you feelings of discomfort in your everyday life.
Did you also know that hips are an area where people hold a lot of unconscious tension and emotion? Similar to when you experience anger and unconsciously react by clenching your jaw, we automatically do so in the hips when we feel threatened. Naturally, our human reaction is to respond to any stress and over time, the hips tighten up.
In this workshop we will look at hip opening poses that will work with your body to let go of stored stress, so you can just breathe and let go!
Suitable for students with a minimum of 6 months of yoga experience.
